Who are we? We are the resident writer’s group of the Cary Area.
As is the case, in the beginning for most writer’s groups, residents of the area wanted a safe haven to read and write on subjects close to their hearts. With this thought in mind, a small group of people began to gather at the library. In a short time, the group grew and now we fight, as all writers must fight, to keep this time for ourselves.
Arriving promptly at noon or if we are honest with ourselves we arrive either a half hour early because we can’t wait, and maybe a few minutes late because a great thought struck us just as we were about to walk out the door and we couldn’t take a chance on losing it or more often, life is an intruding monster. But does it really matter?
We are here because we share a common bond with each other that encompasses everything. What do I mean by everything you might ask? We mean everything! We write poetry, sci-fi, romance, children’s stories, non-fiction, even memorials. What do we not write about? I don’t know because like I said in the beginning, we do it all.
