Someday We’ll Get This Right

Someday we’ll get this right.  Could today be the day?  As a group, we’ve had this blog since early 2011, but have done little with it.

It’s not our fault, we’re just so busy writing that we haven’t caught up with all the technology and organization needed to keep this blog going.  Have we failed?  No.  We haven’t been sitting on our fannies sipping tea, watching the world go by.  As a group, we have bonded and supported and encouraged each other in ways that go far beyond this sad example of a blog.  We have made great strides in our writing.  Produced real growth.  Real opportunities and successes.

But this is the start of a new year.  A new day.  The timing couldn’t be better…. February, national poetry month, is right around the corner.  Our group is bursting with words to share.

And with those words comes another challenge in our onward march of creative expression.  Perhaps the biggest challenge so far, because it’s time to renew our flagging committment to the technology that is nowadays an unavoidable reality in creativity.

So let this post be a sign for all things possible.

Someday is here, and …  We’re back.

About Cary Area Writer's Group (CAWG)

Who Are We? We are a group who live, meet, and support each other in Cary, Illinois. Writers… that is what we call ourselves, but we are so much more than that. We have full time jobs, full time kids and full time hassles like anyone else. We don’t come up with stories. we live them. The only thing different about us is that we write them down. We don’t sleep. We have deadlines that are constantly looming and we always hope for that elusive quiet that never quite finds its way to our lives. If you think you can keep up with this pace, if you can put down the phone long enough to write a sentence or two and make sense, well I’m sorry to say you’re a writer and I know what you’re going through. Stick to it. Publication is just around the corner and then you can sit down. Or can you? It’s all in a day’s work but you know you wouldn’t trade it in. It’s who you are. By Grace Rellie

Writing is a love and a dream. Sometimes we need to recharge as a group, other times as individuals. With this new year already begun it’s time to once again reaffirm our bond to each other and get the writing bus on the road!
